License Corporation
About License Corporation

Making licensing invisible

So businesses can grow faster and governments can operate smarter. We’re solving one of the most fragmented, high-impact challenges in America: 109,000 municipalities, each with its own rules, licences, and laws.

Why we built this

Every city, county and state depends on licence revenue. But the systems built around it have not kept up on either side. Businesses cannot see the full shape of their own obligations, agencies cannot see the full shape of their own tax base, and both are left with manual processes and disconnected tools.

License Corporation was founded to index that body of law, more than 140 million laws and ordinances, and act on it from both sides. License Authority finds, files and renews for businesses. License Regulator finds unlicensed activity for governments. The goal is compliance that runs quietly, so the money owed to communities goes back into them.

Two companies, one body of law — built from the same index of 109,000 jurisdictions.

Our principles

What guides us

01

Public service comes first

Everything we build starts with the same question: does this make licensing work better for the businesses that comply and the governments that enforce?

02

Earn trust through transparency

Businesses, agencies and partners get full visibility into how our platforms work, what data we touch, and what results we deliver.

03

Deploy in weeks, not years

Licensing technology should not require a two-year procurement cycle. We meet organizations where they are and go live fast.

04

Let the data do the enforcing

Compliance is more effective when it is consistent, automated and evidence-based. We take the guesswork out — on both sides of the counter.

“Compliance shouldn’t be a barrier to progress. It should be seamless, automated, and fair.”
